SIMA PRODUCTS

Since everyone else is pumpin' out USB TV tuners like they're going out of style, Sima Products -- those folks who brought us the Hitch transfer device -- is back again, and this time it's bringing the USB ATSC tuning love with the DTU-100. Aside from sporting that oh-so-portable USB stick design, this rendition touts a dedicated antenna port as well as a video input dongle to record your latest camcorder captures without a separate piece of hardware. The dongle supports stereo audio and composite / S-Video, but it's still not clear whether this all comes together as a nice, neat package, nor how much these niceties will set you back.

Nitendo WII Launches in US

The day has come. The allegedly small brother of all the next gen consoles, Wii was launched at midnight in the launch party held at the Times Square. The party’s over now and many of them have picked up their Wiis (purportedly there were around 5000 units). And for all those lazy gamers who failed to buy the console at the Toys “R” Us store, you can always buy from Amazon. Enjoy the complete party coverage here.

Talk 2 much?

Boon or Bane, Belkin has jumped into the WLAN Skype phone business. The Belkin product needs three hours to charge up (via USB) but at press time, there is no news on the talk time. Overall, it looks good enough to use in Starbuck, you could flash this around and people will think you're using a low end cellphone but heck, for US$180 a pop , I think it is a decent way to keep talking till the cow come home.
